Research Description:
My research interests include quantitative expression analysis in single oocytes with particular emphasis on cell cycle regulation and checkpoint gene expression during meiosis. I have used microarray methods to obtain a global genetic perspective of reproductive tissues in order to identify clinically useful reproductive markers. Ultimately, we wish to determine which reproductive markers are critical indicators of prognosis and the differing factors between good and poor responders of follicular stimulation during in vitro fertilization (IVF). I am also involved in the development of clinically applicable DNA microarray methods for detecting aneuploidy in single cells for use in preimplantation genetics diagnosis (PGD) and IVF.
