Research Description: Research interests of the Sell lab include molecular genetic and computational analyses of candidate genes for diabetes and certain cancers, including breast cancer and uterine leiomyoma. Molecular genetic studies are being used to identify disease SNPs, and disease-associated genomic instability and DNA copy number changes. Expression array-based studies are being used to identify disease-associated biomarkers. Computational analyses are being used to predict shared functional domains. |
