About UNCC:
General information about UNCC for prospective graduate students can be found on the Graduate School website.
Application Procedure:
Please send your application for either the Ph.D. or the Professional Science Masters directly to the Graduate School, using the forms found here. Once you have submitted your application package, please notify the Bioinformatics Program about your application by e-mail to bioinformatics@uncc.edu. Use either "Bioinformatics PhD application" or "Bioinformatics PSM application" in the subject line of the e-mail so your application can be directed to the correct admissions committee.
Application Deadlines:
To ensure full consideration for financial support, notification of your application must be received by the Bioinformatics Program by September 1st for spring admission and February 15 for fall admission. Final application deadlines are the same as UNC Charlotte graduate school deadlines.
Admission Requirements:
Admission to both the Ph.D. and Professional Science Masters programs is competitive. Preference is given to applicants with strong credentials and appropriate academic and/or professional preparation. GRE and TOEFL scores are required for admission and these tests should be taken early to ensure that we are able to consider you for financial aid. Admission requirements for these programs are the same as the general requirements of the Graduate School, except where specified. Specific additional requirements can be found on these pages:
